Otherside of Love

On the other side of love
Is the pain,
The tearing of flesh,
Separating lover
From loved.
That pitiful denouement,
Revealing all that you had,
But have no more.

On the other side of love
Is the loneliness.
Solitude walks
In the dark morning,
Pass slumbering houses,
And beneath
The frigid, apogean moon.
Hollow footsteps
That follows you
Into the afternoon
Throng.

On the other side of love
Is a new love,
And a fresh hello
Uttered in the dark
With the hope
That the radiant Sun
Will return.
